This piece was created using multiple papers to collage these figures. The figures, from left to right, are: St. Julian of Norwich, Mary the mother of Jesus, myself, Naomi from the biblical book of Ruth, Hannah from the biblical book of 1 Samuel, St. Monica mother of Augustine, and my maternal grandma Best. These are women who have challenges of various kinds. I would like to sit down with each of them and have a conversation about those challenges and how they dealt with them and how they survived.
